Raniji ki baori bundi
Raniji ki baori, constructed in 1699 by means of rani nathavati ji is one of the popular step wells in bundi city, rajasthan. It is the most important baori in bund with about 50 stairs. In the course of the medieval generation, this baori was very famous assembly vicinity for the local people for social and religious motives. It has a narrow front with stone systems of elephants going through each different and is a multistoried shape. At the entrance, there are four pillars, which showcases beautiful figurine and there's a tall standing arch fashioned gate.
History
Because the records behind this baori goes, rani nathavati ji became the younger wife of ruler rao raja anirudh singh. She gave start to a son, maharao raja budh singh. However the preceding spouse of the king who turned into not able to offer start to a child became green with envy of the younger queen. As a result, rani nathavati ji gave her son to the previous queen of the raja and dedicated herself for the well being of the common man. That is the cause she began the construction of this raniji ki baori.
There is a worshipping location at each of the flooring of the stepped nicely. Raniji ki baori is well carved with ogee bracket paintings.
