This is a peek into the medieval history of India. The streets which started their existence in the era of Mughals & Rajputs some 400-500 years ago are still buzzing with people shopping or walking down them. This is a tour through the “Splendid Streets” of Mughal era cities like Delhi, Agra & Fatehpur-Sikri, and Rajput era cities like Jaipur, Ajmer, Pushkar & Udaipur. Out of all these cities, three have a very unique experience in themselves – Ajmer, Pushkar & Udaipur. Ajmer has a reminiscence of the past, Pushkar has a mystical spiritual aura in its air and Udaipur is a place which induces & flourishes romance in your hearts.
Day 1:
In transit to Delhi

Delhi
After breakfast, we’ll set out exploring the landmark sites of the Rajpath. Start with the citadel of Lutyens’ Delhi, the Rashtrapati Bhavan. It is now the official residence of the First Citizen of India – the President. We’ll stop at the Cathedral Church of the Redemption, located in the quiet Church Lane near Rashtrapati Bhavan. After that visit the National Museum – the largest museum in India, followed by India Gate and then Jantar Mantar. Hangout in the evening at the commercial hub – Connaught Place. Overnight stay at the hotel.

The streets of the old city still have reminiscences from the past. It used to be quite similar about 200 years ago. Only things different could be the view of vehicles on the roads, cell phones in the hands of commuters, electric poles & cables by the roadside. It seems a beautiful marriage of the present and the history. We will visit the famous Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and centuries-old bazaar on. The best and most fun way to tour around in the old city is on a peddled-rickshaw. Overnight stay at the hotel.

A short drive to Ajmer city to visit the shrine of Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti also known as Dargah Sharif. Then we will head to Pushkar, a beautiful peaceful town and sacred place for Hindus, situated 14 km (8.7 mi) northwest of Ajmer at an average elevation of 510 m (1,670 ft) above sea-level. There’s spirituality in the air on the streets of Ajmer and Pushkar. Ajmer is a nice blend of Muslim and Hindu culture. The streets of Pushkar have gained fame all over the world.
