Khajuraho
Khajuraho is also included in the “seven wonders” of India. It is also listed in UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Khajuraho has the largest group temples carved with erotic sculptures. It was built by the Chandela monarchs. This temple was built of sandstones joined together by using tenon and mortise joint technique. The temple stones are held together by these precise joints with the support of earth’s gravity force only.
It’s a worthily visited place with dozens of glorious temples with their stones skillfully carved with the erotic art of the Medieval era along with their stunning architecture.
