Varanasi is considered as one of the oldest living city in the world, also known as Kashi & Banaras. It is believed that Varanasi has been founded over 5000 years ago. The name Varanasi is after the names of two rivers Varuna & Assi. During the time of Gautam Buddha Varanasi was the capital of Kingdom Kashi and was a commercial hub too.
It is the world famous pilgrim destination and visitors here come from all around the globe to find their spiritual peace. The aroma and ambiance of the place will drag you back into the times of ancient India. This place is situated on the banks of the holy river, Ganga.
Tourists and pilgrims come here from all over the world to explore Hindu beliefs, customs, and centuries-old culture. It is the place where Hindus perform their last rites. Varanasi is also famous all over the world for its ivory work, perfumes, and silk fabrics.
