Munnar
Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala. Munnar has numerous tea plantations, picturesque towns, various Sanctuaries and National Parks. It is 1,600 m above sea level; this popular hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India.
Munnar rich with flora and fauna has its few hills covered with flowers Neelakurinji which blossoms once in 12 years. It blossomed last in 2006. The hill station also has the highest peak in South India, Anamudi, which towers over 2,695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking.
