Old Streets India:

This is a journey through the famous old streets across India from west to east. Some of these streets have the oldest markets of India. With time only the commodities and people have changed. The buildings & architecture are still intact and holding on to its glory from the past.
Day 1:
In transit to Delhi
Welcome to the world’s second most populous city. Feel the CRUSH between the crowd & the rush. The city’s importance lies not just in its past glory as the seat of empires and magnificent monuments, but also in the rich and diverse cultures. Check-in at the hotel on arrival. Evening at your leisure.
Day 2:
Delhi
After breakfast, we’ll set out exploring the landmark sites of the Rajpath. Start with the citadel of Lutyens’ Delhi, the Rashtrapati Bhavan. It is now the official residence of the First Citizen of India – the President. We’ll stop at the Cathedral Church of the Redemption, located in the quiet Church Lane near Rashtrapati Bhavan. After that visit the National Museum – the largest museum in India, followed by India Gate and then Jantar Mantar. Hangout in the evening at the commercial hub – Connaught Place. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3:
Delhi
This day we will explore the Old Delhi. After breakfast, we will go to visit the famous Red Fort, followed by the visit to Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk. In the evening we’ll visit the Rajghat, the memorial for Mahatma Gandhi. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4:
In transit to Jaipur
Welcome to Pink City, Jaipur – established in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II, and is India’s first planned city. This royal place is rich in heritage, culture, and architecture. Check-in the. Evening at your leisure.
Day 5:
Jaipur
After breakfast, we’ll go to tour grand Nahargarh Fort and Jai Garh Fort. In the evening we will visit the majestic Amber Fort and have dinner at the royal palatial retro “1135 A.D.”. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6:
Jaipur
The streets of the old city still have reminiscences from the past. It used to be quite similar about 200 years ago. Only things different could be the view of vehicles on the roads, cell phones in the hands of commuters, electric poles & cables by the roadside. It seems like a beautiful marriage of the present and the history. We will visit the famous Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and centuries-old bazaar on. The best and most fun way to tour around in the old city is on a peddled-rickshaw. In the evening, have an absolute cultural experience of Rajasthan and its culture at “Chokhi Dhani” resort. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7:
In transit to Agra
Welcome to the city of Wonder… because it’s the place of Taj Mahal – one of the wonders of the world. Pictures of Taj Mahal don’t do the complete justice to its magnificence. It’s an epitome and symbol of love. You got to be there to feel your jaws drop. There are 3 UNESCO World Heritage sites in or around Agra – Taj Mahal, Agra Fort & Fatehpur Sikri. Check-in at the hotel on arrival. Evening at your leisure.
Day 8:
Agra
After breakfast, we’ll visit Mughal masterpiece Taj Mahal and then the Agra Fort. In the evening hangout at the local markets and famous old streets. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9:
In transit to Lucknow
Lucknow has always been known as a multicultural city and it flourished as a cultural and artistic hub of North India in the 18th and 19th centuries and as a seat of power of Nawabs. Check-in at the hotel on arrival. Evening at your leisure.
Day 10:
Lucknow
The first day at Lucknow, we’ll visit historical attractions like Bara Imambara, Chota Imambara, and Rumi Darwaza. In the evening, we take you for a kebab treat to Tunday Kababi, known for the world’s best galawati kebab, a kebab that melts in your mouth. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11:
Lucknow
After the hustle-bustle of streets of Delhi, Agra, and Lucknow, let’s take a day off for recharging ourselves. We just visit a couple of beautiful locations like Jama Masjid and Ambedkar Smarak. Entire evening at your leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 12:
In transit to Varanasi
Welcome to Varanasi, world’s oldest living city and the spiritual capital of India, settled on the banks of the Holy Ganges. It is the holiest of the seven sacred cities in Hinduism and Jainism and played an important role in the development of Buddhism. Check-in at the hotel on arrival. Evening at your leisure.
Day 13:
Varanasi
In the day we will take you on a rickshaw ride through the colorful streets of Varanasi visiting the old and antique attractions of the city. In evening, we will go for a canoe ride on the serene Ganges and admire the spectacular view of the sunset. At the dusk, watch the numerous Hindu devotees offering their evening prayers at the Dashashwamedh Ghat on the banks of Ganges. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 14:
In transit to Kolkata
We’ll take a flight to the former capital of British India in the nineteenth century. Kolkata, City of Furious creative Energy and also called as “cultural capital of India”, boasts of its proud architectural heritage. Settled along the sea coast, it has the oldest operating seaport of India. Check-in at the hotel on arrival. Evening at your leisure.
Day 15:
Kolkata
Traverse the Kolkata city on the only operating trams in India and the oldest one in Asia, running since 1902. In between, we will get down at tram-stations to visit Victoria Memorial, a renowned architectural heritage of Kolkata and the old and majestic Howrah Bridge. After, a long ride on the trams, we will crash at Park Street by late evening. Park Street is also called as “Food Street” and “The Street That Never Sleeps”. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 16:
Kolkata
We will visit Marble Palace, a palatial nineteenth-century mansion in North Kolkata, built in neoclassical style architecture. Located next to the palace is the Marble Palace Zoo, the first zoo opened in India. In the evening we will explore the busy streets of Kolkata to get the true essence of Kolkata life. We will taste some local cuisines and seafood delicacies, for which Kolkata is famous. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 17:
Kolkata
Take return flight from Kolkata.
